2nd Edition of Where you'd rather Be Magazine is now available

Welcome to the second edition of "Where You'd Rather Be" magazine. Last year, my team and I celebrated Newman-Dailey Resort Properties' 30th Anniversary. Part of the fun of that commemorative year was reminiscing and hearing stories from our extended family of friends and clients about their experiences at the beach.

Among the stories were tales of first beach vacations, anniversary celebrations, birthdays, kids and grandkids' first steps, and the list goes on. The underlying theme of all the stories was time spent together at the beach is a timeless tradition, which creates precious memories. Whether you’re a local or a visitor relaxing and reconnecting at the beach is a cherished activity.

We’ve learned that it is the people that give our community personality. The welcoming shop owner, the friendly bartender, the gregarious artist, and the experienced boat captain are among the many individuals who are the fabric of our coastal community and bring our beaches to life.
In this edition of Where You'd Rather Be, we catch up with cover artist Gordie Hinds and introduce many other friendly faces of the Emerald Coast while celebrating Destin's heritage and history.

We hope you'll pick up an issue while you're grocery shopping (available at area Publix Grocery stores and Whole Foods-Destin) and at any Newman-Dailey Resort Properties offices or within all Newman-Dailey vacation rentals.

We invite you share your stories and memories with us on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages or tag your local experiences #destinvacation or #southwaltonvacation so we can share in your special moments and hideaways.

PS - Special thanks to our cover artist, Gordie Hinds, who beautifully portrayed one of many special joys of living and vacationing along the beaches of South Walton and Destin, Florida.
