"There are 24 miles of sandy shoreline in Destin, so you won’t have to worry about overlapping towels and umbrellas blocking your view of the water. If you aren’t staying in a beachfront house, resort, or condo, don’t worry either. There are several public beaches that are ready to accommodate groups of all sizes. A day-use reservation and $6 per car entry fee gets you into Henderson Beach State Park  for the day, where you can enjoy the mile-long beach, plus a ¾-mile nature trail through coastal scrub. Other excellent options include the Shore at Crystal Beach Park and James Lee Park, which features 9 access point and 166 parking spots."
