Newman-Dailey Earns Spot On the “Best Companies to Work For In Florida” In Florida Trend Magazine
DESTIN, Fla. — Newman-Dailey Resort Properties, a property management and real estate company in Destin, was recently named one of Florida’s Best Companies To Work For in Florida Trend magazine. The annual “Best Companies” list is featured in the August issue of Florida Trend magazine and honors employers in Florida that are making their workplaces great. The list features 100+ companies, which are divided into small, medium and large employer categories. Celebrating 40 years in business, Newman-Dailey Resort Properties placed #22 out of 45 mid-sized Florida companies.

Any firm with at least 15 employees in Florida was eligible to apply to take part in the competition. To identify Florida’s best employers, Florida Trend partnered with Workforce Research Group. Each participating business underwent an evaluation of its workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics.
Next, a survey was sent to company’s employees, who responded — anonymously — to 72 statements on a five-point agreement scale. The survey also included two open-ended questions and seven demographic questions. The questions focus on nine themes: General employee experience; role satisfaction; communication and workplace culture; supervisor relationship; training, technology and development; diversity and inclusion; leadership; benefits; and work-life balance. The process also included a survey to measure employee satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
Companies that earned a spot on the list provide excellent pay, health insurance, 401k plans, and other "hard" benefits, but they also offer the leadership and communications that encourage employees to participate in the organization's overall success. Of the mid-size companies on the list, 98% of the survey respondents report that they “go above & beyond” and “would endorse their products/services”, and 97% “feel pride in saying I work for this company.” These responses underscore the buy-in from staff that fuels the culture, and creates more than just a workforce—they are ambassadors for the business.
