Ken Wampler Installed as 2015 Destin Chamber Chairman
DESTIN, Fla.-Feb. 23, 2015—The Destin Area Chamber of Commerce recently installed Newman-Dailey Resort Properties President Ken Wampler as the 2015 Chairman of the Board. In this role, Wampler will lead the board in providing direction and support to the Destin Chamber team in fulfilling its mission of advocating for businesses and strengthening the Destin community.
“I’m honored to serve the Chamber and our community in this capacity,” said Wampler. “As we look ahead to 2015, I see great things. At our Board’s planning retreat in November, we took a look back at the last five years and saw the incredible progress that has been made and I’m looking forward to continuing the positive momentum.”
Wampler has enjoyed an illustrious career and is well suited to take on the chairmanship. He joined the Newman-Dailey team in 2009 and has grown the Association Management Division from 20 to the more than 34 associations Newman-Dailey attentively manages today. With more than 29 years’ experience, including 13 years on the Emerald Coast, Wampler has extensive experience in luxury resort vacation management and multiple owner associations. A licensed CAM, he's worked with master associations, private and semi-private golf and tennis clubs, full service hotels, boutique lodging and 5 Bell marina operations.
As Chairman of the Destin Chamber, Wampler will focus on growing the community and economic development programs, including Destin Forward. By monitoring pro-business legislation at the state and federal levels of government, Wampler will coordinate with the Chamber Board and staff to serve as the voice of the business community as well as advocate for managed growth and quality of life.
